Calling all sewing friends

Alright, crafty friends of mine. I need your help. I have three yards of this awesomely 70s rust-brown corduroy ($1 at DI) that's begging to be used. I'm thinking skirt for me and a 70s fantabulous jumper for Doodle, but don't have any patterns or ideas for where to start. Suggestions?

I've got a great wrap-around pattern for you ( a couple actually, but I haven't tried them all) I found them with this baby and they are wonderfully forgiving of a postpartum body. :-) I don't think I have anything for Doodle. Sorry. :-)

The library has a book called Sew What! Skirts, which is a basic skirt recipe with variations. Dont' have any Doodle ideas, either, but I'm sure there exists a cute tutorial somewhere online... :)

yes, yes, yes. I have a very cute and easy jumper pattern I use for my girls and a skirt pattern I use for me. Oh, but for the skirt, I actually agree with Karin, you need a nice wrap around since you just had a babe.
Let me know if you want to borrow other patterns though.
